The compact W1709 20" 7-1/2 HP Wide-Belt Sander has digital controls and readout for setting your sanding depth automatically.
You can easily and very accurately sand flat boards up to 20" wide resulting in a very smooth and flat finish.
The W1709 has independent motor controls, an emergency safety shut off bar, a built-in air regulator and filter, an emergency disc brake, and motorized table elevation control.
This machine has adjustable photo-electric belt oscillation system and a pulse air-jet cleaning system to ensure the sensor and mirror stay dust-free.
The W1709 has a quick-change belt system with automatic belt tensioning. The sandpaper length needed is 20-1/2" wide by 48" long.
Like all Shop Fox wide belt sanders, the W1709 comes with a 2-year warranty which covers parts and assures the unit is free from factory defects.
The W1709 manual was written by our U.S. based Technical Documentation Department and is packed with useful information. The complete and easy-to-read manual provides full instructions on how to assemble and maintain your sander.
